Railway Bridge and take second left down Risdale Road and follow it around until you eventually come to South Liberty Lane, then take a right and it is on your right hand side opposite Securicor.

Club Honours
Parson Street Old Boys Football Club was founded in 1919 by Mr Gazzard, a school teacher at Parson Street School.

The football club was formed to provide an interest for ex-pupils of Parson Street School who were unable to find work after returning from the first world war.  Initially friendly fixtures were played but later the club became an associated club and joined the Gloucester Football Association and the Bristol and District League.

The Club continued until 1939 but ceased to operate at the outbreak of the second world war and after a period of 7 years was re-started in 1946 by Mr Albert Allen, Mr Herbert Jacobs, Mr William Ratcliffe and Mr Albert Crew.

By now, the team had a regular pitch at Vale Lane, Bedminster, adjacent to the brick works and during the late 1940's the club's position was consolidated when a new clubhouse was built by the members, complete with connection to the mains electrical supplies, water supplies and sewage supplies.

The club in this form continued until 1961 when due to a proposed expansion by the brick works, the club's lease from the Bristol Corporation was not made renewable and the club moved to its present ground at South Liberty Lane, Ashton.

The new ground was deemed to be on the Somerset side of a 1911 border agreement between Gloucester Football Association and the Somerset Football Association and at the time changed to the Bristol Suburban League.

Since 1961 the clubhouse remained at South Liberty Lane, Ashton Vale, originally playing on number 2 pitch until the early 1970's when the club took over number 1 pitch.

The situation remained unchanged until the City Council decided to lease off the ground to Mr David Jacobs, who retained the ground and facilities for the use of Parson Street Old Boys.  This arrangement changed with the return of the lease to Bristol City Council to enable the Bristol Bowling Club Project to proceed.
